Cyanogen Froyo for X10 Mini Pro

This is a description of upgrade Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro to newest available for now version of Cyanogen Froyo system developed by XDA Developers.

I will perform update from CM 5.0 Final Release, because I have already done upgrade to CM 5.0 from the factory supplied X10 Mini Pro Android v 2.1. The fact is that the first update conferred the most trouble, because you need to ‘root’ your smartphone, install xRecovery software, and then go for upgrade. However, for now I describe the process of upgrading from 5.0 to 6.01.

New ROM of Cyanogen Froyo you will find on XDA Developers forum. There is also a huge warning “This ROM is for the Mini Pro only” and another big warning “Baseband Version : M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 required”. This means that if you will try to install this ROM to other phone or other baseband version, your smartphone will be “bricked”.

So, first of all, you need to check your Baseband version, you find it in Settings menu. If your Baseband version is equal, you can download and install ROM, if you have an older version (my phone had 53404009), then you need to find appropriate ROM or upgrade Baseband with factory update from Sony Ericsson.
